Helen Mae Pulley (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Helen Mae Pulley, daughter of Albert and Eula M. Williams Pulley, was born February 25, 1929, near Buffalo, Missouri. She departed this life Wednesday, March 25, 2015, in Cox Medical Center South, in Springfield, Missouri, at the age of eighty-six years, and one month.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, James W. Pulley; and a brother, Paul Pulley.
Helen is survived by a daughter, Marlene Terry, and her husband, David, of Lebanon, Missouri; a son, Larry Pulley, of Mansfield, Missouri; five grandchildren, Scotty, Sarah, Gina, Sheri, and David Paul; six great-grandchildren, Crystal, Alan, Faith, Sierra, Savannah, and Alyssia; a brother, Bob Henson, of Lebanon, Missouri; two sisters, Sue Watson, and her husband, Mark, and Nellie Peppers, all of Lebanon, Missouri; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
She was born and raised in Dallas County, Missouri, and then lived for a time in Oklahoma. She soon came back to the Lebanon, Missouri area where she graduated from Lebanon High School. Throughout the years, Helen was a devoted homemaker to her children and family. She had also worked as a waitress, a nurses’ aide, and with the sheltered workshop for several years.
Helen made her profession of faith in Christ, was saved and baptized into Tabernacle Baptist Church in Lebanon.
In her spare time she enjoyed reading, playing Bingo, and working puzzles. Her family was always very important to her. She loved children and especially enjoyed time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Helen was a loving mother grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and know that her family and friends will cherish the wonderful memories she made for them during her lifetime.
