Helen Reed (Buffalo)'s Obituary
Helen Mae Reed, daughter of the late Loyal & Mae (Fountain) Vest, was born on September 16, 1930 in Lemmon, South Dakota and departed this life on May 27, 2018 at her home in Buffalo, Missouri. At the time of her passing she was 87 years, 8 months and 11 days of age.
Helen was born and raised in Lemmon, South Dakota until the age of 8 when the family moved to California. While in California she met James Roy Reed. On November 27, 1946 they were united in marriage and to this union four children were born, all whom survive her. Together they moved to Missouri where they started a dairy farm and raised their family. Helen loved to make various arts & crafts, bake and spend time with her family. She made sure her family stayed close and had a get together at her house for every special occasion.
Helen was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James Roy Reed; two brothers, Robert Vest and Dale Vest; one sister, Beryl Shepperly; and one son-in-law, Boone Breshears. She is survived by two sons, Edward (Becky) Reed and John (Denise) Reed; two daughters, Debbie Breshears and Linda Reed & Janet Cutbirth; one brother, Richard (Jean) Vest; three sisters, Barbara (Dean) Davis, Patty (Mike) Bowers and Printha Carpenter; six grandchildren, Tammy, Jim, Danielle, Brian (Angie), Marla (Chris) and Ethan; twelve great-grandchildren, Philip, Gavin, Madison, Kassidy, Riley, Ian, Isabel, Carter, Abby, Trinity, Seth and Dalton; and one great-great grandchild, Seda. She also leaves behind many friends and family whom will all truly miss her.
