Helen "Darlene" Seiner (Bolivar)'s Obituary
Helen “Darlene” Seiner, age 89, passed away peacefully on January 1, 2024, at Parkview Health Care Facility in Bolivar, MO, surrounded by her loving family. She was born to John Robert and Nellie Mae (Barker) Franklin on May 31, 1934, in Goodson, MO.
Darlene recently celebrated an extraordinary 73 years of marriage to her beloved husband, Robert “Bob” Seiner. Their union was blessed with four children: Rick, Teresa, Brent, and Rocky.
Throughout her life, Darlene was known for her unwavering dedication to her family, embodying the roles of a loving wife, devoted mother, and cherished grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great grandmother. Her home was a haven of warmth, love, and laughter, where countless memories were created and treasured.
In her professional life, Darlene had a successful career in banking, leaving an incredible mark on the industry with her dedication and hard work. Her commitment to excellence of service extended beyond the workplace, as she volunteered as a CMH Ambassador, embodying her belief in the importance of giving back to her community.
Darlene was a woman of deep faith, finding solace and strength in her spiritual journey. Her life was a testament to the values of love, compassion, and kindness. She leaves behind a legacy of love and service that will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing her.
She is survived by her loving husband, Robert “Bob” Seiner, her children Teresa (Mike) Parson, Brent (Vesta) Seiner, Rocky (Patsy) Seiner, daughter-in-law, Mary Seiner, sister-in-law Joan Wilson, brother-in-law, Roy J. “Sonny” Thomas, ten grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild. She is preceded in death by her parents, her sister Elaine Thomas, and son, Rick. Darlene’s memory will be forever cherished by her family and friends.
Funeral services to celebrate Darlene’s life will be held at 2:00 pm January 6, 2024, at the Butler Funeral Home with a visitation that will be held one hour prior to services from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Butler Funeral Home. The burial will take place in the Mt. Gilead Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Mt. Gilead Cemetery.
