Helen Wallace (Buffalo)'s Obituary
Helen May Wallace, daughter of the late Lois and Azzalee (Courville) Veillon was born on October 12, 1931 in Basile, LA, and departed this life on January 11, 2018 at Maranatha Village in Springfield, MO. At the time of her passing she was 86 years, 2 months, and 29 days of age.
Helen was reared and attended school in Basile, LA, and graduated from Eunice High School. She was nominated for Ms. Eunice Rice Queen in 1953. She was united in marriage to Wilburn Clay Wallace on January 15, 1955, and to this union four sons were born, all of whom survive her. Helen enjoyed fishing, traveling, and cooking. She also loved watching her grandkids play sports, and would travel wherever they were playing to support them. Helen loved many people, and many people loved her.
Helen was preceded in death by her husband Wib; her parents; two brothers, Freddy and Tonas Veillon; and one sister-in-law, Loretta Viellon. She is survived by her four sons, Clay & wife Deborah Wallace of Fair Grove, MO, Ben & wife Dora Wallace of Fair Grove, MO, Earl & wife Rhonda Wallace of Springfield, MO, and Layne & wife Kim Wallace of Ozark, MO; one brother, Burgess Veillon of Eunice, LA; one sister, Hazel LeBlanc of Welch, LA; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. She also leaves other family members and many friends who will all truly miss her.
