Helen C. Wester (Bolivar)'s Obituary
Helen Clydeen Wester, age 97 of Bolivar, Missouri passed away on Saturday, May 17th, 2014 at Citizens Memorial Healthcare Facility in Bolivar.
She was born on November 27th 1916 in Wishart, Missouri, the daughter of Fletcher Mack Grant and Rose Olivia (Sawdey) Grant.
Helen was united in marriage to Wilbert Leon Wester. The two remained together until his passing on June 9, 1995. Although the couple had no children of their own, as an aunt and uncle they were very special to their family and likewise their family was very special to Helen and Wilbert.
Helen was a devout Christian and was involved in the First Christian Church Disciples of Christ Ministries. Helen was a wonderful homemaker. She enjoyed taking care of her home, preparing meals for family and friends and spending time with them.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Fletcher and Rose Grant; her husband, Wilbert Leon Wester; her sister, Eva Louise Grant Mann; and an infant brother who passed before Helen was born.
Helen is survived by her two nephews, Clyde Rex Mann and his wife Lily of West Monroe, Louisiana and Grant Boyd Mann of Phoenix, Arizona; three great nephews, Colonel Christopher Rex Mann and his wife Isabel of Grand Forks, North Dakota, Stephen Scott Mann of St. Louis, Missouri and Eric Austin Mann of Phoenix, Arizona; one great-great-niece, Natalie Mann; two great-great-nephews, Alexander Mann and Ethan Mann, all three of Grand Forks, North Dakota.
