Herbert E. Lee (Seymour)'s Obituary
Herbert Eugene “Herb” Lee, son of Robert “Bob” and Fern Privett Lee, was born April 19, 1952 in Douglas County, Missouri and departed this life on March 21, 2019 at Cox South Medical Center in Springfield, Missouri at the age of sixty-six years, eleven months and two days.
On March 5, 1968 he was united in marriage to Rosell Russell and to this union three children were born.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Rosell, on February 18, 2014, brother, Gary Lee, nephew, Chad Lee and great-nephew, Brady Lee.
Herb is survived by two sons, Tony Lee and wife, Misty, of Seymour, and Joe Lee and Malvonna of Norwood; daughter Cynthia McDowell of Seymour; twelve grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two brothers, Cotton Lee and wife, Stacy, of Marshfield, and Norman Lee and wife, Jackie, of Lebanon; sister, Carol Hughes and husband, David, of Marshfield; sister-in-law, Judy Lee of Springfield; several nieces, nephews other relatives and many friends.
He was raised in the Dogwood/Seymour area and spent his entire life in the Lee family business of logging and saw mill operator, retiring 3 years ago.
Herb was saved 6 years ago at the Seymour Nazarene Church.
In his spare time, he loved to coon hunt with his friends and trade hounds.
Herb was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle and a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and will always cherish the special times we had together.
