Herbert LueAllen's Obituary
Herbert H. LueAllen, son of James and Frances Emmaline (Miller) LueAllen, was born May 2, 1929, in Seymour, Missouri. He departed this life Monday, August 31, 2009, in Glenwood Healthcare in Seymour, Missouri, at the age of eighty-years, three months, and twenty-nine days. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Lillie Davidson; four brothers, Lee, Eugene, Kenneth, and Donald LueAllen; a brother-in-law, Reverend Charley Russell: and a nephew, David Russell. Herb is survived by a sister, Wanda Russell, of Seymour, Missouri; six nieces, Janet Swearengin, of Rogersville, Missouri, Becky Russell, of Seymour, Missouri, Carolyn Borso, and her husband, Gerald, of Bakersfield, California, Brenda Harris, and her husband, Ron, of Lyons, Oregon, Tina Mask, and her husband, Ron, of Scori, Oregon, and Linda Flowbly, and her husband, Larry, of Rosewood, Oklahoma; three nephews, Lee LueAllen, and his wife, Carolyn, of Bakersfield, California, Bob Davidson, and his wife, Barbara, of Council Bluffs, Iowa, and Wendell Davidson, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; a great-nephew, Heath Russell; his great-nieces, Michelle Lawrence, Nikki Russell, Amanda Allman, and Lori Rabourn; other great-nieces and great-nephews, relatives and many friends. He was born and grew up in Seymour and in 1951 he entered the United States Army and served his country faithfully during the Korean Conflict. After his time in the service, he worked for the civil service at the White Sands Proving Ground in Las Cruces, New Mexico. He then moved back to Springfield, Missouri, and worked at MFA Milling Company for many years before moving to Kansas City, where he worked as a custodian at the Pickwick Office Building. He then returned to Seymour and worked at the Seymour Apple House and other odd jobs. Herb had accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior two years ago and was ready to make Heaven his new home. Herb was a loving brother, uncle, and great-uncle and was caring neighbor and dear friend. We celebrate his life and accomplishments and will treasure the wonderful memories he has created for his family and friends. Graveside Services & Burial will be held at 1:00pm on Thursday September 3, 2009 in the Seymour Masonic Cemetery under the direction of the Holman-Howe Funeral Home Seymour, Missouri. Return to top
