Herschel Wayne Oliver (Buffalo)'s Obituary
Herschel Wayne Oliver, son of the late Benjamin Franklin and Mary (Willoughby) Oliver, was born on February 11, 1931 and departed this life on June 16, 2025. At the time of his passing he was 94 years, four months, and four days of age. Herschel was a carpenter by trade and was an excellent cabinet maker. He was united in marriage to Bertha May Bowles on July 9, 1955, and to this union three sons were born, all of whom survive him. Herschel was preceded in death by his wife, Bertha May Oliver and his parents. He is survived by his three sons, John, Don and Dan; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and one brother, Donald Oliver. He also leaves other family members and friends who will all truly miss him. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 20, 2025 in the Cantlon-Otterness & Viets Funeral Home with Pastor Caleb McClure officiating. Interment will be in the Macedonia Cemetery under the care and direction of the Cantlon-Otterness & Viets Funeral Home of Buffalo. Visitation will be from 10:00-11:00 a.m. Friday at the Funeral Home.
