Hobart McPheeters (Bolivar)'s Obituary
Hobart Paul McPheeters, age 89, of Bolivar, Missouri passed away on Monday, December 8, 2014 at Cox South hospital, in Springfield, Missouri.
Hobart was born on July 17, 1925 in Polk, Missouri. His father, George Washington McPheeters died when Hobart was 5 years old. He stayed with his mother Sarah Bertha McPheeters until he was drafted for the Korean War, where he served in a combination of the Army, Navy, and Air Force, both full time, and in the reserve service.
Hobart accepted our Lord Jesus Christ at an early age and is a member of the First Baptist Church. He was married to his wife, Ann, in 1981.
He is preceded in death by; his parents; four brothers, John Willard McPheeters, James Elbert McPheeters, George McPheeters, Jr., Robert Newton McPheeters; one sister, Thelma Ellen McPheeters (Baltmer).
Hobart is survived by; his wife Ann, of the home; children, Richard Paul McPheeters, and wife Terresa, of Ozark, Karen Rae Testerman, of Nixa, Laura Vaughan Moore, of Bolivar, Shelly Rennee’ Wheeler, of Springfield, Jeri Ann Hubbert, and husband, Kevin, of Bolivar; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and six nieces and nephews.
