Hobert M Bellew (Buffalo)'s Obituary
Hobert Bellew, age 90, of Urbana, Missouri, passed away on October 9, 2025. He was born on September 27, 1935, in Oxnard, California, to Richard and Anne Bellew. Hobert was preceded in death by his parents, his beloved wife, Lulu Bell (Simmons) Bellew, and his son, Stanley J. Bellew. Hobert is survived by his son, Randy J. Bellew and wife Taunya of Utah; his daughters, Lori S. Jolley and husband John of Oklahoma, Sheri L. Black and husband Steve of California; daughter-in-law Sharon E. Bellew of Oklahoma; and many cherished grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, along with a host of close friends and extended family. Hobert dedicated 35 years of his life to his work as a truck driver with SP Milling in California before retiring and moving with Lulu to the area of her birth in Missouri. In retirement, he found deep fulfillment in his church community, where he and Lulu developed close and lasting friendships. Hobert’s love of the outdoors, particularly hunting and fishing, brought him closer to those with whom he shared these passions. Hobert’s warm presence, steadfast faith, and the love he gave to his family and friends will be missed more than words can express. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. Funeral service is scheduled for 10 am on Saturday, October 18, 2025, at the Cantlon-Otterness & Viets Funeral Home in Buffalo, Missouri with burial to follow at Little Niangua Cemetery. Visitation will be held the evening prior, Friday, October 17, 2025, from 5-7 pm at the funeral home. A celebration of life dinner will be held following the burial at Urbana First Baptist Church. Arrangements are under the direction of Cantlon-Otterness & Viets Funeral Home, Buffalo, Missouri.
