Howard M. Davenport (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Howard Michael Davenport was born October 18, 1955 in Honolulu, Hawaii, to Allan Davenport and Jewell Williamson. He passed away peacefully in his home in Lebanon, Missouri on Wednesday, November 22, 2023. At the time of his passing, Howard was sixty-eight years, one month and four days of age.
Howard grew up in Southern California in Pico Rivera. Following his high school graduation, he enlisted in the United States Air Force where he proudly served his country. Following his service, he returned to Whittier, California where he was employed by the City of Whittier as an electrician with the street department.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Allan and Jewell; and his best friend, Dan Cano.
Howard is survived by his wife, Rebecca Davenport of the home; his sisters, Debbie Justice of Beaumont, California and Dana Huerta of Kansas City, Missouri; three brothers, Martin Davenport and Nathan Davenport, both of Lebanon, Missouri and Gary Davenport of Hacienda Heights, California; and a number of other family members.
In 2005 he began reading the Bible and found great peace in doing so. His faith grew and he shared the love of Jesus with his family, in hopes they would experience the same love and peace that he did.
He loved working with wood and made many items for his home, as well as items for family and friends. He enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle. He made many friends in California, but in 2016, he and Rebecca made the decision to retire in Lebanon, Missouri.
He loved his family very much and always looked forward to spending time with them. His passing leaves a void in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
The family has asked in lieu of flowers, a memorial donation to St. Jude's Children's Hospital be made in Howard's name.
