Howard L. Ginnings (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Howard Lee Ginnings, son of Howard and Nora E. Garrett Ginnings, was born August 22, 1944, in Stoutland, Missouri. He departed this life Wednesday, October 19, 2022, in his home, in Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of seventy-eight years, one month, and twenty-seven days.
On August 24, 1985, he was united in marriage to Bonnie M. Melton.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Bonnie, on June 6, 2018; a daughter, Tammy Ginnings Wood; three brothers, Willard Junior, Earnest, and John Arnold; and two sisters, Mary E. and Ruth.
Howard is survived by a daughter, Tracey Tillery, of Lebanon, Missouri; a son-in-law, Dennis Wood of Peoria, Arizona; two grandsons, Christopher Mills and his wife Jayme of Belton, Missouri and Jessie Mills of Pomona, Kansas, a granddaughter, Ashley Ginnings of Phoenix Arizona; four great-grandchildren; a brother, David Arnold, and his wife, Peggy, of Lebanon, Missouri; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
He was born and raised in the Stoutland community, and then made his home in the Kansas City area for thirty years. He worked for Castle Metals for several years, and then was employed by Allis Chalmers for a time. He eventually moved back to the Lebanon area and Howard worked for Roadway Express as a truck driver, freight manager and also in the warehouse, until retiring.
Howard made his profession of faith in Christ at the age of sixteen and followed the Lord in baptism. He followed the Baptist faith and had attended Candock Baptist Church.
He liked watching car racing, and sci-fi and monster movies. He had a good sense of humor, was quite a jokester, and loved to laugh. He loved his family dearly and especially enjoyed having time with his grandson.
Howard was a loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and was a caring friend. We celebrate his life and his accomplishments and know that his family and friends will treasure the wonderful memories he made with them during his lifetime.
