Hugh Dean McNealy's Obituary
Hugh Dean McNealy, son of Winburn John and Dora Ellen Davison McNealy, was born March 6, 1937, in Charles City, Iowa. He departed this life Monday, May 15, 2006, in his home, near Grovespring, Missouri, at the age of sixty-nine years, two months, and nine days. On September 30, 1960, he was united in marriage to Doris Sue Marlin and to this union two daughters were born. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Betty McNealy. Hugh Dean is survived by his wife, Doris, of the home; two daughters, Connie Brady, and her husband, Scott, of Forsyth, Missouri, and LaDon Divine, and her husband, Russell, of Hartville, Missouri; four grandchildren, EmNey and Cale Brady, and McKenzi and Skylar Divine; a sister, Dotty James, of Pixley, California; as well as a host of other relatives and friends. He was born in Iowa and lived there for a short time, before moving with his family to the farm in Wright County, where he remained the rest of his life. He did custom hay baling for friends and neighbors, and spent many hours operating the farm. Hugh Dean had made his profession of faith in Christ surrounded by his family. His family was very important to him and spending time with them brought him much joy. He greatly enjoyed his cattle and his farm. He was a friendly and outgoing man who loved going to the sale barn and coffee shop to visit with friends. In his spare time he greatly enjoyed spending time with his horses and going on trail rides. Hugh Dean was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and accomplishments and will cherish the wonderful memories he has created for his family and friends. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, May 18, 2006, in the Steele Memorial Cemetery, Hartville. Visitation will be held Wednesday evening from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. under the direction of Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Hartville, Missouri.
