Hugh "Sonny" Moodie (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Hugh “Sonny” C. Moodie, son of Hugh and Maxine Decker Moodie, was born April 3, 1949, in the State of California. He departed this life Wednesday, November 1, 2017, in Lebanon South Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, in Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of sixty-eight years, six months, and twenty-eight days.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Delbert L. Hogue, Jr.; a sister, Donna Jones; and a great-nephew, Griffin Wilson.
“Sonny”, as he was called by his family and friends, is survived by a sister, Diana Wilson, of Lebanon, Missouri; two daughters; one son; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
He was born in California but was raised in the Lebanon, Missouri area, and attended Lebanon R-III Schools. He continued to make his home in Lebanon, and worked for Marine Electric Products for seventeen years. He had also worked for G-3 Boats for several years.
Sonny followed the Baptist faith throughout his life.
In his younger years, he enjoyed fishing, and also liked watching television. He enjoyed family gatherings and visiting with his family. He possessed an easy going personality.
Sonny loved his family very much and will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him.
A memorial has been established and may be left at Holman-Howe Funeral Home.
