Hugh Vaughn Byler's Obituary
Hugh Vaughn Byler, son of Hubert and Mabel Percival Byler, was born, February 5, 1944 in Linn Creek, Missouri. He departed this life, Thursday, November 23, 2006 in his home in Linn Creek, Missouri at the age of sixty-two years, nine months and eighteen days. On June 19, 1963 in Linn Creek, Missouri he was united in marriage to Sandra Lee Cox and to this union three children were born. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, J.C. Byler. He is survived by his loving wife, Sandra of the home; a daughter, Esther Black; two sons, Matthew Byler and Milton Byler, all of Linn Creek, Missouri; ten grandchildren, Samantha Williams, Jacob Oestriech, Nick Oestriech, Travis Nichols, Chelsey Byler, Chadrick Byler, Riki Byler, Ciara Byler, Hugh Vaughn Byler II and Nigher Alfaro; two great-grandchildren, Sondra Jo Lee Williams and Julie Elizabeth Williams; a brother, Bentley Byler and wife Cindy of Linn Creek, Missouri and several nieces, nephews and many friends. Hugh Vaughn lived his entire life in the Linn Creek area and attended Linn Creek School. He worked in various occupations throughout his life. He played the fiddle and mandolin and had a great interest in helicopters and air planes. He was a Harley Davidson man and spent time building motorcycles. He was a collector of guns, knives, clocks and watches. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family. Hugh Vaughn was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and uncle and was a caring neighbor and friend. We will cherish the memories he created for his family and friends. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, November 27, 2006, in Linn Creek Baptist Church. Burial will be in Freedom Cemetery, Montreal, Missouri. Visitation will be held Sunday afternoon from 2-4:00 p.m. under the direction of Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Camdenton, Missouri.
