Ida Mae Carriger-Buck (Hartville)'s Obituary
Ida Mae Adamson, daughter of Jessie Adamson and Bill and Dessie Kelley was born November 6, 1924 in Hartville, Missouri. She departed this life Wednesday, April 9, 2014 in her daughter’s home, near Hartville, at the age of eighty-nine years, five months, and three days.
On August 21, 1943, Ida was united in marriage to Boatman Carriger and to this union four children were born. On April 21, 1979, Ida married Willard Buck.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Willard Buck; sister, Fern Shaver; two brothers, George and Joe Kelley; a nephew, Carlos Shaver; and a son-in-law, Harold Lansdown.
Ida is survived by her children, Alfred and Debbie Carriger of Grovespring, Missouri, Judy Lansdown of Hartville, Missouri, Ronnie and Monique Carriger of Strafford, Missouri, Larry and Loria Carriger of Springfield, Missouri; thirteen grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; two great-great-granddaughters; her siblings, Don and Patsy Kelly, Avis Carriger, Dorthy Weaver, Jerry and Betty Browitt, Imogene Lowery; a sister-in-law, Bertha Kelley; many nieces and nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Ida was raised in Wright County and attended Dry Branch School.
She was saved as a teenager and joined Mt. Olive Church. She moved her membership to Little Creek Baptist Church in 1950.
She was a homemaker and baby sitter from March of 1961 until August of 1995.
Ida was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt; and will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her, especially her children and grandchildren.
