Ila May Lister (Camdenton)'s Obituary
Ila Mae Coffey Lister of Climax Springs, daughter of Autis Belford and Edith Estella Tobey Coffey, was born, May 12, 1921 in Barnumton, Missouri. She departed this life, Sunday, September 30, 2012, in Windsor Estates Care Center, Camdenton, Missouri at the age of ninety-one years, four months and eighteen days.
On July 25, 1942 in Warsaw, Missouri, she was united in marriage to Lewis Eugene Lister and to this union three children were born. Together they shared fifty-seven years of marriage before his passing on June 11, 2000.
She was also preceded in death by her parents and four brothers, Russell G. Coffey, Charles L. Coffey, Ray Coffey and Paul Coffey.
Survivors include her children, Carol Mantooth and husband Ron of Salida, Colorado, Robert Eugene Lister and Randy Lister and wife Carla all of Greenview, Missouri; seven grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Ila worked many years n the medical field as a Certified Nurses Aid. She retired in 1997 from Columbine Manor in Salida, Colorado.
In her spare time, she enjoyed oil painting and created any beautiful projects. She also loved to write poetry and songs.
She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and aunt and a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and her accomplishments and will treasure the memories she created for her family and friends.
Memorial donations may be made to Children’s Cancer Research Fund and left at the funeral home.
