In 1978, Imogene and Carl built a home in the Lynchburg area and lived there until retiring to Lebanon in 1987. Throughout the years, Imogene was a devoted homemaker to her husband and family, and also worked hard helping in the operation of the farm. Imogene had professed her faith in Christ and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Lebanon. In her spare time she enjoyed traveling, and also liked going to quality music shows. She enjoyed visiting her friends and other people in the area nursing homes and bringing a little cheer into their lives. She always saw the good in others and never said an unkind word. Her family was very important to her and she especially enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Imogene was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and aunt, and was a caring neighbor and friend.
