Imogene Keeling's Obituary
mogene Ollie Keeling, daughter of Calva Raymond and Beulah Pearl Mansker Perkins, was born April 23, 1930, near Manes, Missouri. She departed this life February 25, 2008, in her home in Hartville, Missouri at the age of seventy-seven years, ten months and two days. On October 11, 1958, she was united in marriage to William Paul Keeling, who preceded her in death on October 10, 1980. Her parents also preceded her. Imogene is survived by her sister, Geraldine Webb, of Hartville, Missouri; a niece, Tammy Carriger, and her husband, Howard , of Grovespring, Missouri; a nephew, Roger O’Dell, of Hartville, Missouri; three great-nieces, Melissa Wollard, and her husband, Keith, of Hartville, Missouri, Denette Lowery, and her husband, Tim, of Lake St. Louis, Missouri, and Chasity Cromer, and her husband, Chad, of Lebanon, Missouri; and a great-great-niece, Alexia Nicole Wollard; as well as a host of other relatives and friends. She was born on the family farm near Manes and as a child the family moved to several states, including Illinois, Idaho and Oklahoma, before returning to Hartville. She attended Hartville High School and graduated in the Class of 1948. After her graduation, she worked for the Draft Board in Hartville and Hartville School as a secretary. She moved to Springfield and attended and graduated from Draughons Business College. She went to work for Kraft Foods in Springfield and also became a beautician throughout her life. After her retirement, she moved back to Hartville where she has lived since. Imogene had professed her faith in Christ and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Hartville. Her family was very important to her and she enjoyed spending time with them and her friends, visiting and going on outings. In her spare time she liked playing the piano and organ and doing hand work, crocheting. Imogene was a loving sister, aunt, great-aunt and great-great-aunt, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and her accomplishments and will cherish the wonderful memories she created for her family and friends. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, February 29, 2008, in the Steele Memorial Cemetery, Hartville. Friends may call at the funeral home at their convenience. Service are under the direction of Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Hartville, Missouri. Memorials to the Hartville First Baptist Church may be made through the funeral home. Return to top
