Imogene Morris (Bolivar)'s Obituary
Imogene E. Morris, age 76, of Brighton, Missouri passed away Tuesday evening, August 9, 2011 at her home in Brighton.
She was born March 25, 1935 in Halfway, Missouri, the daughter of Oles C. Stewart and Okla Marie (Hawkins) Stewart.
Imogene was married to Roma Deral Morris on October 19, 1952 in Halfway, Missouri. He preceded her in death on April 19, 2005.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Fender Baptist Church in Brighton, Missouri and the Morrisville Lioness Club. She enjoyed quilting and loved her family, enjoying the grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Imogene is survived by her son; Leslie Morris and his wife Robin of Humansville, Missouri, two daughters; Taresa Ball and her husband David of Brighton, Missouri, Anita Gott and her husband Rex of Morrisville, Missouri, one brother; Estal Stewart and his wife Bonnie of Bolivar, Missouri, two sisters; Nadine Ashlock and her husband Derrell of Bolivar, Missouri, Shirley Brown of Dunnegan, Missouri, eight grandchildren; Jason Doke and his wife Jill, Brenda Gradek and her husband John, Brian Ball and his wife Sheena, Tracy Forrest and her husband Matt, Travis Gott, Tara Aubushon and her husband Casey, Cheyenne Morris, Colton Morris, and seven great grandchildren.
A visitation will be held from 6:00-7:00pm Thursday evening at the Butler Funeral Home in Bolivar, Missouri. Funeral services will be held at 10:00am, Friday, August 12, 2011 at the Butler Funeral Home in Bolivar with Reverend Cleo Cunningham and Reverend Tom Schaffer officiating. Musical selections will be “In The Garden” and “He’s Still Living” by Rita and Mark Shadwick and Erin Graves. Burial will follow at Brighton Cemetery in Brighton, Missouri. Pallbearers will be Dwight Stokes, Brad Graves, Wayne Ashlock, Chuck Brown, Lendall Stewart and Kevin Morris. Honorary pallbearers will be Jim Hillenburg, Jake Francka, Kenneth Ashlock, Lendell Morris, Chuck Cox and Jim Carson.
Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105-1942.
