Imogene Nance's Obituary
Imogene Paulk Nance was born on July 25, 1932 to Mark and Beulah Paulk in Texas. She departed this life on Tuesday, October 4, 2011 in her home. She was raised in Texas and it was there that Imogene meet and married Roy Nance on September 11, 1951 and to this union two sons were born. Together they lovingly raised their family. After moving to Oklahoma the couple settled in Halton, Missouri in 1995 where Imogene began working in home health care. She continued to serve her community in this field when they moved to Ava, Missouri in 1998. After the death of Roy, Imogene settled down in the Seymour area with her son, Calvin. Imogene is preceded in death by her parents; her husband Roy Nance on August 25, 2003 and her son Cliff Nance the same year, five brothers Charlie Paulk, Toby Paulk, Bill Paulk, Alfred Paulk and Jessie Paulk; and one sister Essie Paulk. She is survived by her son Calvin R. Nance of the home, a grandson Rodney Nance of Clairmore Oklahoma; two granddaughters Misty Nance of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Amanda Fisk of Clairmore, Oklahoma; three great-grand children; two sisters Irene Adams of Buffalo Gap, Texas and Bessie Whittley of New Mexico. Imogene was all about her family and caring for others. She was a great supporter of OCCAC and a member of the Freewill Holiness church. In her spare time she enjoyed reading and being with her grandkids. Imogene was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and the legacy she leaves behind, cherishing the precious memories she created for all those who knew and loved her. Grave side services for Imogene Nance will be held Monday, October 17, 2011 at 1p.m. in the Gentry Cemetery, Diggins, Missouri under the direction of Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Seymour, Missouri. The family is requesting contributions to assist in the cost for services to be made to HOLMAN-HOWE FUNERAL HOME PO BOX 366 SEYMOUR, MISSOURI 65746.
