Johnson, Phyllis Joan Cook, 68 Phyllis Joan Johnson, daughter of Nay Dean and Phyllis Marie (Jennings) Felkner, was born June 26, 1938, near Fordland, Missouri. She departed this life Tuesday, November 28, 2006, in her home, in Marshfield, Missouri, at the age of sixty-eight years, five months, and two days. On July 21, 1954 she was united in marriage to Freeman Lee Cook and to this union two sons and one daughter were born. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Freeman; two grandchildren, Heather LeeAnn and Trenton LeeDean Cook; and a brother, Dean Felkner Jr. Joan is survived by two sons, Freddie Lee Cook, of Marshfield, Missouri, and Joel Dean Cook, and his wife, Lisa, of Seymour, Missouri; a daughter, Jacqueline Kim Sickler, and her husband, Robert, of West Chester, Pennsylvania; eleven grandchildren, Scotty Lee Cook, Melissa Ellen Deaton, Jennifer Lynn Pace, Patrick Lee Cook, Fredrick Lee Cook, Cody LeeDean Cook, Robert LeRoy Sickler, Jeremiah Lee Sickler, Genesee Marie Roseman, Seneca Aubrey Sickler, Megan LeeAnn Cook Clark; eight and a half great-grandchildren; two sisters, Joyce Peterson, of Springfield, Missouri, and Deana Miner, and her husband, Terry, of St. Louis, Missouri; two nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and many friends. She was born and raised in the Fordland area. After she met and married Freeman, she became a military wife. She lived in many different areas of the world before moving to Marshfield, Missouri in 1997. Joan attended Harvestime Tabernacle in Marshfield, where she enjoyed her fellowship. In her spare time she enjoyed spending time with her family, being outdoors, and loved rescuing animals. She was very fond of cats. Joan was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, daughter, sister, and aunt, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and accomplishments and will cherish the wonderful memories she has created for her family and friends. Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, December 2, 2006, in the Holman-Howe chapel, Seymour. Burial will be in the Panther Valley Cemetery, Fordland, Missouri. Visitation will be held Saturday from 12:00p.m. until service time. Services are under the direction of Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Seymour, Missouri.
