Newton, William Thomas Tommy, 47 William Thomas “Tommy” Newton, son of William Thomas “Bill” and Darlene (Climer) Newton, was born November 19, 1958, in Springfield, Missouri. He departed this life Saturday, November 11, 2006, in his home, in Mansfield, Missouri, at the age of forty-seven years, eleven months, and twenty-two days. He was preceded in death by his father and stepfather, Sam Hatcher. Tommy is survived by his companion, Missy Pulley; two sons, Keith Newton, and his wife, Leann, of Mansfield, Missouri, and Billy Newton, of the home; two daughters, Spencer Deal, and Madellyn Newton, both of the home; his mother, Darlene Hatcher, of Mansfield, Missouri; a sister, Debbie Hutson, and her husband, Gary, of Webb City, Missouri; two nieces, Nicole and Kimberly Hutson, both of Springfield, Missouri; as well as a host of other relatives and friends. He was a 1977 graduate of Mansfield High School, and was a lifelong resident of Mansfield, where he worked as a farmer. Tommy had made his profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Mansfield First Assembly of God Church. In his spare time he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and loved to fry fish. He had also participated in many truck pulls. Tommy was a loving companion, father, son, brother, uncle, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and will cherish the wonderful memories he ha Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 15, 2006, in the Mansfield First Assembly of God Church. Burial will be in the Nancy Newton Cemetery. Visitation will be held Tuesday evening from 7 - 8:00 p.m. under the direction of Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Mansfield, Missouri. Memorials to The American Cancer Society may be made through the funeral home.
