Murrell, Arthur Howard Junior, 59 Arthur Howard “Junior” Murrell, son of Lowell Howard and Goldie Mae Proctor Murrell, was born August 9, 1946, near Falcon, Missouri. He departed this life Monday, July 10, 2006, in St. John’s Hospital, in Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of fifty-nine years, eleven months, and one day. He was united in marriage to Ella M. Rogers, and to this union one son and one daughter were born. His father, and a brother, James Edward Murrell, preceded him in death. Junior is survived by two sons, Kenneth Murrell, and his wife, Vicky, of Van Meter, Iowa, and Pete Murrell, of Boonville, Missouri; a daughter, Teresa Mandacina, of Kansas City, Missouri; four grandchildren, Kayla, Michael, Carlo, and Sierra; his mother, Goldie Murrell Bennett, of Lebanon, Missouri; three sisters, Wilma Alvis, and her husband, Robert, of Macks Creek, Missouri, Judy Burgess, and her husband, Teddy, of Sleeper, Missouri, and Shirley Murrell, of Lebanon, Missouri; several nieces and nephews; his fiancée and caregiver, Carol Shinkle, and her children, Daniel and Christina Shinkle, all of Lebanon, Missouri; as well as a host of other relatives and friends. He was born near Falcon, Missouri, and when he was three years old he moved with his family to the Sunnyview community. At the age of five, his family moved to the Linn Creek community, where Junior attended school. He then made his home in the Lebanon, Missouri area for most of his adult years. He worked for the Pepsi-Cola Bottling Company in Kansas City, the Camden County Highway and Road Department, and then the Gregory Trucking Company in Lebanon throughout his life. Junior was saved and baptized in the Linn Creek Baptist Church and later transferred his membership to the Sunnyview Freewill Baptist Church. In his spare time he enjoyed being outdoors where he liked fishing, hunting, camping, skiing, and riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle. He enjoyed talking on the C.B. radio where he was known as “Hubba Hubba”. He possessed a delightful sense of humor and was a happy and friendly person to everyone. His family was very important to him and he especially enjoyed his children and grandchildren. Junior was a loving father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, and fiancé, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and his accomplishments and will treasure the memories he made for his family and friends. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, July 13, 2006, in the Crossroads Freewill Baptist Church. Burial will be in the Crossroads Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Lebanon, Missouri.
