Inice May Davis, 83 of Bolivar, Missouri departed this life on Tuesday, October 01, 2013 at her home in Bolivar.
She was born on December 12, 1929 in Charity, Missouri, the daughter of George Edgar Mallard and Bessie Ellen (Gaunt) Mallard.
Inice was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church of Bolivar where she was involved in children’s church activities. Inice was a homemaker. She loved her grandkids, and great-grandkids, and was affectionately known as Granny Goose. Do to her love of all kids, she also spent 23 years working in the Kansas City school district cafeterias. She enjoyed her yard; she loved nature, and its expression in the beautiful flowers that come in the springtime.
She is preceded in death by her parents, George and Bessie Mallard, her son, Gerald Davis, and 7 brothers and sisters.
Inice is survived by her husband, Joe Davis of the home, her daughter, Diana Samek and Harold Slemp of Bolivar, her son, James Davis and his wife Marybeth of Liberty, Missouri, her daughter Geraldine George and her husband Fred of Louisville, Kentucky, 9 grandkids, Tracy Antele of Shepherdsville, Kentucky, Angela George of Shepherdsville, Jodi Freifeld and her husband Naaman of Georgetown, Texas, Josh Samek of Bolivar, Rebekah Davis and her fiancé Brian Miller of Fairhope, Alabama, Abrahm Davis of Liberty, Missouri, Robert Burns and his wife Jamie of Independence, Missouri, Gerrie Burns and her fiancé James Blum of Odessa, Missouri, and Kathy Burns of Independence, Missouri, her sisters, Jean Pankey and her husband Bill of Buffalo, Missouri, and Avis Pinkley and her husband Bill of Liberty, her brother, Ellis Mallard and his wife Betty of Sedalia, Missouri, and an abundance of great-grandkids, nieces, nephews and friends.
