Inmon Dale Simpson (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Inmon Dale Simpson, son of Otto and Ruby Grace Southard Simpson, was born December 16, 1933, near Lebanon, Missouri. He departed this life Tuesday, February 19, 2013, in Cox Medical Center South, in Springfield, Missouri, at the age of seventy-nine years, two months, and three days.
On September 3, 1971, he was united in marriage to Mary Louise Schuenemeyer, and they shared the last forty-one years.
His parents preceded him in death.
Inmon Dale is survived by his wife, Mary Louise, of the home; a son, Mike Simpson, and his wife, Becky, of Lebanon, Missouri; a granddaughter, Grace; a sister, Dr. Doris Wilson, and her husband, Errol, of Palm Desert, California; a nephew, Errie Wilson; as well as a host of other relatives and many friends.
He was born and raised in the Lebanon area, and graduated from Lebanon High School. He then served his country faithfully in the United States Army for a few years. After being honorably discharged from the Army, he returned to the Lebanon area and began working as a truck driver for the Appleby Boat Company. He continued to work as a truck driver for Justice Furniture Company for a number of years. Later, he drove for area car dealers.
Inmon Dale had made his profession of faith in Christ and had attended Second Freewill Baptist Church in Lebanon.
He was always busy whether at work or maintaining and caring for his home and yard. He enjoyed traveling, and he and Mary Louise especially liked taking cruises and did so almost every year. He particularly enjoyed having coffee and visiting with his friends each morning at the donut shop. His family was very important to him, and he especially enjoyed time with his granddaughter.
Inmon Dale was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and his accomplishments, and know that his family and friends will treasure the wonderful memories he made for them throughout the years.
