Later she returned to Lebanon and was employed for several years by the Rice-Stix factory and Justice Furniture Company. She had a very outgoing personality and had been active in the U.S.O. during World War II. In her spare time, she loved to travel, and her green thumb was evident in the beautiful flowers and houseplants she grew. Irene was well known for her baking, and her family especially enjoyed her lemon pies. She also had a fondness for animals and usually had a dog for a companion. Irene was a loving aunt, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and accomplishments and will treasure the memories she made for her family and friends. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, October 16, 2006, in the Holman-Howe Drawing Room. Burial will be in the Lebanon Cemetery.
