Irene E Patton (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Irene Elisabeth Patton, daughter of Frantz and Elisabeth Bonk, was born March 31, 1934, in Germany. She departed this life Sunday, July 7, 2013, in Lake Regional Hospital, in Osage Beach, Missouri, at the age of seventy-nine years, three months, and six days.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Rudy; and three sisters, Ruth, Edith, and Inga.
Irene is survived by four daughters, Tina Nesbitt, and her husband, Mike, of Seymour, Missouri, Tanya Dunn, and her husband, Randy, Sonya Shaufer, and her husband, Greg, all of Lebanon, Missouri, and Linda Allen, and her husband, Vincent, of Union, Missouri; three sons, Brian Patton, and his wife, JoJo, of Tempe, Arizona, Bernard Patton, of Spokane, Washington, and Charles Patton, and his wife, Gosha, of Klamath Falls, Oregon; seventeen grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
She was born and raised in Germany, and attended college where she earned a degree in criminal justice. She moved to the United States in the early 1950’s, and for many years she was a devoted and hardworking homemaker to her family. She had owned an auction house for several years, and retired from the maintenance department at Arizona State University. She had moved to Lebanon, Missouri, in 2009.
Irene was raised in the Catholic faith, and held strong to her love of the Lord.
In her spare time she enjoyed going to and having yard sales. She also liked going to auctions and looking for antiques. She enjoyed doing craft projects of all kinds. Her family was very dear to her and she especially enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Irene was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and know that her family and friends will cherish the wonderful memories she created for them throughout the years.
Services will be held at a later date in Klamath Falls, Oregon.
