Irvin Stoll's Obituary
Irvin LeRoy Stoll, son of Edward and Josephine Bauman Stoll, was born, June 27, 1928 in Festus, Missouri. He departed this life Sunday, August 31, 2008, in his home, Camdenton, Missouri, at the age of eighty years, two months and four days. On October 2, 1954 in Sacred Heart Church, Crystal City, Missouri, he was united in marriage to Louella Theresa Linderer and to this union two sons were born. Together they shared the past fifty-three years. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Kevin Stoll; a brother, Edward Stoll, Jr.; and two infant brothers. Survivors include his loving wife, Lou Stoll of the home; a son, Timothy J. Stoll; and two grandchildren, Tyler and Breanna Stoll, all of Festus, Missouri; a brother, Wilfred Stoll and wife Eileen of St. Charles, Missouri; and a host of other relatives and many friends. Boots was raised in Festus, Missouri, and graduated from high school there. He worked several different jobs, until beginning a career as an electrician and machinist for Pittsburg Plate Glass which spanned over thirty years. After retirement from PPG, he and Lou retired to the Lake of the Ozarks in 1979. While at the lake, he worked for a time at Blair Cedar as well as Lake Valley Country Club. He was baptized into the Catholic Church and was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church in Camdenton. He was active in his parish and served as an usher. Boots was a member of the Knights of Columbus in Camdenton and the Lake Valley Country Club. In his spare time he enjoyed golfing. He could be found on the course anytime the weather and time allowed. He was an avid bowler until he took up golf. He also enjoyed woodworking and could make almost anything. Most of all, he enjoyed time spent with family and friends. Boots was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle and was a caring neighbor and friend. He will be missed by many, however, the memories he created will live on forever. Services will be held at 11:00 am on Monday September 8, 2008 at the St. Anthony Catolic Church. Burial will be in the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Festus, Missouri. Visitation will begin at 9am and last until time of service at the church under the direction of Allee- Holman- Howe Funeral Home Camdenton, Missouri.A Memorial has been established to the St. Anthony building fund.
