Isabelle King's Obituary
Isabelle King, daughter of Edwin and Anne McQueen Lozier, was born January 16, 1926, in Patterson, New Jersey. She departed this life Friday, March 30, 2007, in her home, near Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of eighty-one years, two months, and fourteen days. On August 9, 1947, she was united in marriage to Walter King, and to this union four daughters were born. She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Herb, Bill, and Joseph; and three sisters, Agnes, Stella, and Betty. Isabelle is survived by her husband, Walter, of the home; four daughters, Terry King, of Lebanon, Missouri, Peggy Roth, and her husband, Glenn, of the State of New Jersey, Pat Mastrojohn, and her husband, Jim, of the State of Pennsylvania, and Mary Beth Swingle, of the State of Texas; ten grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a number of nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends. She was born and raised in New Jersey, where she graduated from high school. She then entered a convent for a few years, before deciding to become a nurse. She completed her nursing studies and earned her degree as a Licensed Practical Nurse. In addition to being a devoted wife and loving mother, Isabelle also worked as a nurse helping AIDS patients for several years. When she and Walter retired, about thirteen years ago, they moved to Lebanon, Missouri, where Isabelle continued to work in nursing for a while. Isabelle was raised in the Catholic faith and was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Denville, New Jersey. After moving to Lebanon, she attended St. Francis DeSales Catholic Church. She liked getting dressed up and enjoyed attending dances, parties, and banquets. She basically liked happy things and special occasions. Her family was very important to her and she especially enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Isabelle was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and aunt, and was a caring neighbor and friend. Throughout the years, she touched the lives of many people, and we shall fondly remember her in our hearts forever. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 3, 2007, in St. Francis DeSales Catholic Church. Services are under the direction of Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Lebanon, Missouri.
