Jeannine also worked outside the home as a special dietary cook at Mercy Hospital in Des Moines, Iowa, for several years. In 1987, she retired and moved to Batavia, Illinois, where she made her home until coming to Laclede County, Missouri in 1995. She lived on a farm, near Lebanon until 2000, when she moved into town.
In her spare time she enjoyed taking walks, reading, and sewing. She also liked visiting with her Vernon Heights neighbors and friends. Her family was very important to her and she especially enjoyed all of her grandchildren.
