Jack L Barnett (Camdenton)'s Obituary
Jack Lee Barnett, age 67, died peacefully in the arms of his wife at their home in Lebanon, MO, on February 8, 2020, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born on March 29, 1952 in Lawton, OK, to Jack Lewis Kimbrell and Lois Ethel Atkinson. Jack proudly served his country July 1973 – July 1975. He was happily married to Linda Lee Barnett, his partner in life, for the last 26 years.
Jack was survived by his wife, Linda Barnett, his two sons and their wives, Terry & Tammy Barnett and Troy & Cassie Mathis, his two daughters and their husbands, April & Don Melson and Kristina & Ike Skelton, his 13 grandchildren, Samantha Orton, Sheldon Mathis, Kailie Barnett, Brinna Barnett, Peyton Melson, Isaac Melson, Ethan Melson, Erik Melson, Emma Fortner, Aly Schafer, Bryson Schafer, Charli Skelton and Kyler HoSang, his sister Marilyn Piper and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Mary Barnett and her mother, Jan Barnett, his mother Lois Walters, his two brothers, Jimmy Barnett and Bruce Barnett, and his sister, Theresa Moad.
Jack was loved and cherished by many friends and family who were touched throughout his life. He will be missed by many. The family is asking for donations in lieu of plants or flowers to cover the cost of service and burial.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, February 15, 2020 at 4:00 p.m. at Journey Christian Church (123 Evergreen, Lebanon, MO 65536).
