Jack E. Fields (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Jack Edward Fields was born February 7, 1968 in Sacramento, California, to his parents, John E. Fields and Rebecca Ann Slayton Fields. He departed this earth on Saturday, August 3, 2024 in Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri. At the time of his passing he was fifty-six years, five months and twenty-seven days of age.
When Jack was very young, he moved with his family to Hindsville, Arkansas where he began his schooling. The family then moved to Huntsville, Arkansas where Jack graduated from Huntsville High School. Jack was partly raised by his grandparents, Bill and Lois Fields.
Jack made his career in flooring installation. He was very good at what he did and was a mentor to many.
He had professed his faith in Jesus Christ early in his life and followed the Baptist faith.
Jack was preceded in death by his parents, John and Rebecca; and one brother, Paul Slayton.
He is survived by his son, Jordan Fields of St. Louis, Missouri; one granddaughter; his brother, John Fields and his wife Teresa of Lynchburg, Missouri; his sister, Tiffany Paige Arts of the Netherlands; six nieces; three nephews; and other relatives and friends.
Jack loved being outdoors and going fishing as often as possible. He enjoyed playing board games and playing cards. He especially liked to win. Jack listened to old country music and spending time with his family. He loved his family very much.
We celebrate his life and his accomplishments and know that his family and friends will treasure the wonderful memories he made for them.
Funeral service for Jack Edward Fields will be Friday, August 9, 2024 at 2 p.m. in Holman-Howe Funeral Home. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Dutch Chapel Cemetery near Plato, Missouri.
