Jack D. Glover (Hartville)'s Obituary
Jack Dale Glover, son of Harold Frederick and Dora Adena DuBois Glover, was born November 26, 1940 in Canton, Illinois. He departed this life Saturday, January 26, 2013 in his home, near Hartville, Missouri, at the age of seventy-two years, one month, and twenty-eight days.
Jack was preceded in death by his parents; a brother Norman Glover; and a brother-in-law, Joe Garcia.
He is survived by his siblings, Alice June Glover of Marshfield, Missouri, Sharon Garcia of Joliet, Montana, James Glover of Mansfield, Missouri, and Walter Glover and wife Rose of Mansfield, Missouri; a sister-in-law, Nettie Glover of San Jose, Illinois; as well as a number of nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and many dear friends.
Jack attended grade school in Hobson, Missouri and graduated from Golden Acres Grade School. He was a graduate in the Richwoods High School Class of 1957. He attended Bradley University for a period of time before he went to work for the United States Department of Agriculture in the early 1960’s. Jack worked as a Laboratory Technician for the USDA for over thirty years until his retirement. He moved to the Hartville area following his retirement to make his home.
He had accepted Christ as his Savior early in his life and attended the Hartville Freewill Baptist Church where he enjoyed visiting with his friends and singing.
Jack was an avid reader and enjoyed visiting the Wright County Library whenever possible. He was a lifelong student of Science and would talk about the subject to anyone who would listen.
Jack was a loving brother and uncle, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and accomplishments and will treasure the many wonderful memories he has created for his family and many dear friends.
