Jack Lynn Wright, Sr. (Bolivar)'s Obituary
Jack Leonard Wright, Sr., age 92, of Springfield, Missouri passed away on Wednesday evening, May 5, 2010 at Manor Care in Springfield, Missouri.
He was born December 7, 1917 in Keota, Oklahoma, the son of Robert Wright and Myrtle (Foster) Wright.
Jack was a World War II Veteran in the United States Army, serving his country in the Panama Canal Zone in which he received an American Theater Ribbon and a World War II Victory Ribbon from May 1945-July 1946.
On June 4, 1938 he married the love of his life and high school sweetheart, Sybil Lois McGrew. She preceded Jack in death on June 18, 2008.
He was a member of the Morrisville Assembly of God Church in Morrisville, Missouri and attended church regularly until the time that his health declined.
Jack was preceded in death by his stillborn infant son, Kenneth Paul Wright, his son, James Wright in 1993 at the age of 42, two grandsons, Scotty McClearen and Ricky McClearen, and a granddaughter, Beverly Lynn Duty.
Jack is survived by his son, Jack L. Wright and his wife Becki of Battlefield, Missouri, two daughters, Janice Wilson and her husband Les of Deepwater, Missouri, Beverly McClearen and her husband Dick or Pryor, Oklahoma, 18 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren and 13 great great grandchildren.
A Graveside Service will be held at 1:00pm, Saturday, May 8, 2010 at Vaught Cemetery in Webbers Falls, Oklahoma under the care and direction of the Butler Funeral Home in Bolivar, Missouri.
