Jack R. Mundt (Lebanon)'s Obituary
On July 16, 1948, Jack Racine Mundt was born to John William and Margie Garrett Mundt in Palmer, Nebraska. He entered eternal rest on Wednesday, November 26, 2025 in Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri. He was seventy-seven years, four months and ten days of age.
Jack was born and raised in Nebraska and graduated high school there. Following graduation, he joined the United States Army, where he faithfully served as a Tank Mechanic. He would go on to work as a mechanic throughout his career.
On September 4, 1967, Jack was united in marriage to Judy Long and together they made special memories for over fifty-eight years.
Jack and Judy lived in Nebraska for eight years before moving to Missouri in 1975. Jack was employed with International Harvester and Laclede Electric.
Jack was baptized at Morgan Baptist Church. He loved his Lord and was ready to be in Heaven.
Jack is preceded in death by his parents, John and Margie Mundt; and his brother, David Mundt.
He is survived by his loving wife, Judy Mundt, of the home; two daughters, Kim Mundt and Jennifer Mundt; his son, Jack Mundt and his wife Holly; eight grandchildren, Matt Manier and his wife Brianna, Kelsey Waterman, Taylor Winder and her husband Sean, Miranda Klein and her husband Devon, Brittany Price and her husband Roman, Courtney Nichols and her husband Andrew, Jordan Perkins and Anna Mundt; eighteen great-grandchildren; his sister, Lola Ruzicka; a sister-in-law, Helen Mundt; and other relatives and many friends.
Jack enjoyed working in the garden, doing yard work and fishing. He will be remembered for helping people. He was a very strong man and could fix problems that other people couldn’t. He was a hard worker and enjoyed building and remodeling homes. He and Judy also enjoyed traveling.
Jack was a devoted husband, wonderful father and cherished grandfather, great-grandfather and brother. He was a caring and trusted neighbor and friend. Jack was a good, honorable man who loved and trusted God, worked hard, and always tried to do the right thing. His passing is sad for his family and friends, but rejoice in his homecoming where he is with his savior and Lord.
Services for Jack Mundt will be Tuesday, Dec. 2 at 10 a.m. at Holman-Howe Funeral Home. Visitation will be Monday, Dec. 1 from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Holman-Howe Funeral Home. Burial will be in Lebanon Cemetery.
A memorial has been established to Claws and Paws and donations may be made at the funeral home.
