Jack Lee Palmer (Bolivar)'s Obituary
Jack L Palmer, born April 2, 1930 in Wahoo, Nebraska, took the Creators Hand on October 3,
2015 at age 85.
Jack accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior at a very young age. After graduating high school in
Liberal, Missouri Jack proudly served his country in the United States Airforce. During his time in the
Airforce, many letters home were written to Miss Arlene Dayle Smith who became his wife in January
1952. Jack and Arlene moved to Parkville Mo where Jack was a faithful member of Park Hill Baptist
Church, serving as a Deacon, Financial Secretary, Missions Chairman, Royal Ambassador Leader, and
organized the Brotherhood group. Jack worked for Trans World Airlines for over 32 years retiring in
1983. Upon retiring Jack had a goal to be retired longer than he had worked, and was blessed to obtain
that goal. His greatest blessings were in his three children, Mike, Cindi, and Pam and later his
grandchildren Aaron, Palmer, Wesley, Emily, Jackson, and great-granddaughter Eva. In 1990 Jack and
Arlene moved to Bolivar, Missouri to enjoy his passion of fishing and sharing that love with his
grandchildren. He was instrumental in the development of the Traveler's Sunday school class at First
Baptist Church and enjoyed the company of those wonderful and faithful friends. Jack also cherished the
friendship of his loving neighbors.
As a man who welcomed many into his home and never knew a stranger, he is loved and missed
by his wife, Arlene Palmer, his three children; Mik~ Palmer (Beverly), Cindi Allain (Clancy), and Pam
Burrell (Jack). Also his grandchildren; Aaron Palmer, Palmer Allain, Wesley Burrell and his wife Whitney,
Emily Allain, Jackson Allain, and great granddaughter Eva Allain as well as many loving nieces and
nephews, two sister-in laws, and many friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Floyd C. Palmer, Violet Thompson-Palmer and brothers
Frank, DeRoy, and Robert Palmer.
