Jack Eugene Scofield (Mansfield)'s Obituary
Jack Eugene Scofield passed away July 26, 2018, at 10 months of age in Springfield, Missouri, with his loving father, mother, and family members by his side. Jack was born September 26, 2017, in Springfield, Missouri, to Michael and Lacie (Newby) Scofield of Ozark, Missouri.
Jack’s favorite activities were playing with his mommy, daddy, his big brothers Owen and Oliver, and his cousins. He loved his grandmas and grandpas, cousins, aunts and uncles. We called him “Baby Jack” or “Jack Jack”. He loved playing with his toys, reading books, being held and snuggled, playing games, and being tickled. He liked to be rocked and patted to sleep in the chair and being sang to. Jack loved to smile and laugh. He was a little leery of the dogs and strangers and would sometimes get an upside-down smile on his face before beginning to cry. When he was held, he would lovingly touch your face with his hands; he liked to touch his daddy’s beard and get ahold of his mommy’s hair. His arms and legs would start to wiggle with excitement, welcoming us as we walked in the door after a long day’s work. It was the sweetest thing!
Jack had God’s love and joy. He shared it with everyone. Despite all his pain and struggling, he was a happy, sweet boy who loved and was loved unconditionally. He brought joy to our lives beyond measure. He brought joy to anyone who saw his sweet smile. We have faith that God takes care of his children, and Jack is certainly His.
Our prayer is that the void in our hearts becomes filled with God’s love and joy and we share that with everyone we encounter in our lives, just as Jack did. We lean on the Lord to bring our family peace and we continue to love and care for our children the best we know how.
We can’t wait to hold you in our arms again one day, our precious angel.
We love you always Baby Jack,
Mommy, Daddy, Owen, Oliver, Cameron
