James Bowden (Camdenton)'s Obituary
James Daniel Bowden, son of George Washington and Mary Jane Burrous Bowden, was born March 6, 1949, in Osage Beach, Missouri. He departed this life Sunday, August 14, 2011, in St. Mary's Health Center, Jefferson City, Missouri, at the age of sixty-two years, five months and eight days.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, James Daniel Bowden, Jr.; three brothers, Russell, Earl and George Bowden; and two sisters, Betty Bowden and Hazel Eidson.
He is survived by a son, James Allen Bowden of Camdenton, Missouri; a daughter, Cassaundra Bowden of Versailles, Missouri; two brothers, Carl Bowden and wife Dot of Phenix City, Alabama and Paul Bowden of Brumley, Missouri; a companion, Linda Herbal of Gravois Mills, Missouri; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Jim was raised in Osage Beach and Camdenton and was a graduate of Camdenton High School in the Class of 1967. He attended Grad Wall Tech in St. Louis then began a career at Ozark Ford as a mechanic. He later worked in a C.B. Shop and a Salvage Yard.
In his spare time he enjoyed anything he could take apart or fix. He enjoyed working with engines, C.B. radios and lawn mowers. He also loved to hunt and fish.
He was a loving father, brother, uncle and companion and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and his accomplishments and will treasure the memories he created for his family and friends.
