James H. Brooks (Buffalo)'s Obituary
James Herman Brooks, son of the late John and Lula Brooks was born on October 28, 1936 in Charity, MO and departed this life on Friday, April 15, 2022 in Buffalo, MO. At the time of his passing he was 85 years, five months, and 16 days of age.
James served his country in the United States Army. He was a member of the Jericho Missionary Baptist Church in Independence, MO.
James was preceded in death by his wife Margaret; one brother, Norman Brooks; and three sisters, Johnnie, Doris, and Louise. He is survived by his son, James M. Brooks & fiancé Vickie of Kansas City, MO; one brother, Von Brooks of Phoenix, AZ; and one grandson, James M. Brooks, Jr. He also leaves other family members and many friends who will all truly miss him.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 21, 2022 in the Cantlon-Otterness & Viets Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 10:30-11:00 a.m. Thursday at the Funeral Home. Escorts will be James M. Brooks, Ray Graves, James M. Brooks, Jr., Bruce Lynn Williams, And Gale Williams. Interment will be in the New Bethel Cemetery under the care and direction of the Cantlon-Otterness & Viets Funeral Home of Buffalo.
