James E. Brown (Lebanon)'s Obituary
James E. Brown, 89, of Lebanon, died Saturday, Sept. 28, 2013 at Mercy Hospital Lebanon.
He was born June 2, 1924 in Lenora City, Tenn. to Walter William and Carmen E. “Bessy’’ Dougan Brown.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, James R. “Bob’’ Brown; a brother, William Dexter; and five sisters, Margaret Nell, Thelma Ruth, Hester Evelyn, Cynthia Ann, and Estelle Carmen.
On June 24, 1945 he married Ellen Evans.
He was raised in Tennessee and graduated from Lenora City High School, where he played on the football team. He and Ellen made their home in Florissant, Mo. and James worked for McDonnell-Douglas Aircraft from 1958 until 1987. Later, he and Ellen made their home in Lebanon.
Survivors include his wife, Ellen Brown, of the home; a daughter, Dale Renee Lyeria and husband, Gary, of Florissant, and a grandson, John Russell, of Florissant.
Arrangements for James E. Brown are under the care and direction of Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Lebanon.
A memorial has been established to the Diabetes Association and contributions may be left at the funeral home.
