James Buck Kolb's Obituary
James Buckley “Buck” Kolb, son of Jacob Maple and Goldie Viola (Duckworth) Kolb was born November 9, 1939 in Webster County, Missouri. He departed this life Tuesday, May 22, 2007 in the Dallas County Care Center in Buffalo, Missouri at the age of sixty-seven years, six months, and thirteen days. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Frances Forshee and a brother, Tom Kolb. Buck is survived by a daughter, Phyllis Newlon, and her husband, Louis, of Springfield, Missouri; two sons, James Buckley Kolb Jr. and Mark Kolb, both of Springfield, Missouri; nine grandchildren, Bradley and Brett Newlon; Marissa Kolb; Jacob, Jackson and McKenzie Kolb; Paige, Morgan and Tex Miller; a sister, Tammy Tenholder, of Strafford, Missouri; a brother; John Kolb, and his wife, Frankie, of Fordland, Missouri; many nieces and nephews, as well as a host of other relatives and friends. Buck spent most of his life in the Fordland, Springfield and Buffalo areas, working as a mechanic on various implements and vehicles. In his spare time, Buck enjoyed fishing, hunting, and drag racing and loved to have a good time. Buck was a loving father, grandfather, brother and uncle, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and accomplishments and treasure the wonderful memories he has created for his family and many friends. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 25, 2007, in the West Finley Cemetery., South of Fordland, Missouri. Visitation will be held Thursday evening from 7 - 8:00 p.m. under the direction of Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Seymour, Missouri.
