James Elbert Roberts (Bolivar)'s Obituary
James Elbert Roberts, age 91, of Bolivar, Missouri passed away on Thursday evening, October 21, 2010 at Citizen’s Memorial Healthcare Facility in Bolivar, Missouri.
He was born September 12, 1919 in Polk County near Adonis, Missouri to John Calvin Roberts and Mary Pearl (Rush) Roberts.
On March 16, 1957 he married Madonna M. Livezey in Warrensburg, Missouri.
James worked in Maintenance Engineering for the North Kansas City Hospital in North Kansas City, Missouri for 19 years prior to his retirement in 1984. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Bolivar, Missouri. He loved to fish and enjoyed his gardening.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Henry Mitchell Roberts and two sisters, Fern Craddick and Nadine Roberts.
James is survived by his wife, Madonna M. Roberts of the home, one brother, Roy Calvin Roberts of Whittier, California, three nieces, Mona Carlstrom of Kansas City, Missouri, Maysel Christy of Denver, Colorado, Janus Collins of California, one nephew, Greg Roberts of California, other beloved nieces and nephews, and many friends.
