James "Tom" Goodenough (Lebanon)'s Obituary
James Thomas “Tom” Goodenough was born January 24, 1965, in Springfield, Missouri and departed this life Friday, September 30, 2022, in Lebanon South Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, in Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of fifty-seven years, eight months, and six days.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Rona Vestal and his father Ronnie Jackson.
Tom is survived by two sons, Justin Jones, of Springfield, Missouri, and Jason Jones, and his wife. Nikki, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; four grandchildren; a brother, Ronald Dean Jackson, and his wife, Koretta, of Springfield, Missouri; several nieces and nephews; an aunt, Mary Grospitch, and her husband, Steve, of Olathe, Kansas; a cousin, Reggie Jackson, and his wife, Stephanie, of Lebanon, Missouri; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
He was raised in the Lebanon, Missouri area, and graduated from Lebanon High School. He worked for numerous car dealerships through the years, and was a service technician at a BMW Dealership for a time.
Tom got right with the Lord and made his profession of faith in the last few years.
He loved music and always had a story to tell. He liked spending time with his family and friends, and always started every conversation with, “What did we have for dinner”?
Tom was a loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, and was a caring friend. We celebrate his life and know that his family and friends will hold tight to the wonderful memories he made for them during his lifetime.
A memorial has been established and donations may be left at the funeral home.
