James L Jackson (Camdenton)'s Obituary
James Louis Jackson, son of Delmar and Shirley Feiler Jackson, was born, October 27, 1943 in Waukegan, Illinois. He departed this life, Monday, June 17, 2013, in Lake Regional Hospital, Osage Beach, Missouri at the age of sixty-nine years, seven months and twenty-one days.
On July 21, 1981 in Las Vegas, Nevada, he was united in marriage to Karen Lea Peterson. Together they shared thirty-one years of marriage.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Survivors include his wife, Karen Jackson of the home; his mother, Shirley Jackson of Waukegan, IL; six children, Melanie Smith and boyfriend, Barth Lippert of Rapid City, South Dakota, Beth Durbin and husband Earl of North Pole, Alaska, Corey Jackson and wife Denise of Round Lake Beach, Illinois, Melissa Hagen and husband Keith of Stoughton, Wisconsin, Melanie Klinger and husband Shane of Columbus, Wisconsin and Steven Andersen and wife Heidi of Deerfield, Wisconsin; eight grandchildren, Diana, Jonathan, Joshua, Seth, Mary Rose, Madisyn, Ayden and Quinn; a sister, Diane Dresler of Waukegan, Illinois; a mother-in-law, Connie Peterson of Camdenton, Missouri and. and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
James was raised in Waukegan, Illinois. In 1969, he moved to Sun Prairie, Wisconsin. It was there he met Karen. They retired to the Lake of the Ozarks five years ago. James made a profession of faith and was a member of Camdenton United Methodist Church.
In his spare time he enjoyed fishing watching television and being a gun smith. He enjoyed time spent with his friends at Cindy’s Country Club. He loved his dog Roscoe and seeing his grandchildren. He will always be remembered for yelling, “SHUT THE DOOR!”
He was a loving husband, son, father, grandfather, brother and uncle and a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and his accomplishments and will treasure the memories he created for his family and friends.
