James Kimmel (Lebanon)'s Obituary
James Thomas Kimmel, son of James Merle and Paula M. Kimmel Brackett, was born February 18, 1961, in Davenport Iowa. He departed this life Monday, July 17, 2017, in Lebanon North Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, in Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of fifty-six years, four months, and twenty-nine days.
On June 23, 2000, he was united in marriage to Linda Schroeder and they shared sixteen years together before her passing on February 23, 2017.
He was preceded in death by his wife, his parents; and an infant brother.
James is survived by an uncle, Richard Kimmel, of the state of Iowa; an aunt, Lois Meeth, of the state of Kansas; four step-daughters, eight step- grandchildren, and several cousins; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
He spent his early years in Bettendorf, Iowa and later made his home in Lebanon, Missouri.
He was a truck driver and most recently a school bus driver for the Lebanon Public Schools. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and boating. He had a wonderful sense of humor.
James was a loving step-father, step-grandfather, nephew, cousin and a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and know that he will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him.
A memorial has been established and contributions may be left at the funeral home.
Mr Kimmel will be returned to Iowa for service and burial.
