James Malone (Lebanon)'s Obituary
James Irvin Malone, Jr., son of James Irvin Malone, Sr. and June Hampton Malone, was born April 26, 1945, in Mattoon, Illinois. He departed this life Tuesday October 23, 2018, in his home, in Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of seventy-three years, five months, and twenty-eight days.
His parents preceded him in death.
James is survived by his significant other, Dawn Hance, of Lebanon, Missouri; a son, Shawn Malone, of Moberly, Missouri; two daughters, Stormie Devore, of Lebanon, Missouri, and Lawanda Fitzgerald, of the State of Illinois; a number of grandchildren; two brothers, Charley Malone, of the State of Illinois, and Roy Malone; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
He was born and raised in Illinois and then joined the military as a young man. He served his country faithfully in the United States Army for over twenty years, and was stationed in Germany and Poland during some of that time. After retiring from the Army, he made his home in Rolla, Missouri for a time before moving to Lebanon three and one-half years ago.
In his spare time enjoyed fishing, spending time with Dawn’s grandchildren and visiting with his friends.
James was a loving partner, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and know that he will be fondly remembered as a patriotic American.
