I enjoyed growing up around you and Norma. Although a little younger than your children, I know them all pretty well due to our families being friends for 45 years. Norma, Ruth, Janis, Rita, David and John know you are with Kenneth now and await their arrival.
I offer this to my extended family. I have read this at many funerals.
Dearest loved ones, I have left you
And I know you'll miss me so,
But they needed me in heaven,
So you see, I had to go.
I am traveling down the valley
With my face turned toward the sun.

For my crown there I have won.

Many fond memories of James! As a child I spent several Sunday afternoon playing on the their farm after church at Cedar Bluff Baptist Church were my grandfather, Rev. Reavil Hankins, preached. James and Norma invited us over frequently due to the long drive between services on Sundays! I remember tending to the cows several times with Mr. James. James was a caring, loving Christian man who will be fondly remembered and greatly missed. Much love to the family - may God wrap his loving arms around you during this difficult time. Love you all!

James was my bus driver for many years. He was a patient and dependable driver who put up with a lot from us kids from time to time (and let us have a little fun as long as it didn't get out of hand). He was also a pillar in his church and community. He will be deeply missed. Linda & Bruce Barnes
