James Nobles' Obituary
James Reynolds Nobles, Jr., age 76 of Bolivar, Missouri passed away on Tuesday, March 16, 2010 at Citizen’s Memorial Hospital in Bolivar, Missouri. He was born February 1, 1934 in Star City, Arkansas to James Reynolds Nobles, Sr. and Merle (Dishough) Nobles. James received a Bachelors Degree in Animal Husbandry from the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, Arkansas and was a member of the Phi-Kappa-Alpha. He met the love of his life at college and later married Glynda Lee Flowers on August 31, 1957 at the First Baptist Church of Fayetteville. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam Era from 1954-1962. He worked for the Ralston-Purina Company for ten years. He then worked for 26 years at the Cargill Company and served as the District Sales Manager for 22 years prior to hisretirement in 2000. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Springdale, Arkansas and was faithfully attending the United Methodist Church in Bolivar, Missouri as his health permitted. His parents, James and Merle Nobles, and his son, James Reynolds Nobles, III who passed away in 2002, preceded him in death. James is survived by his wife, Glynda Lee Nobles of the home, three daughters, Susan Renee McMillen of Bolivar, Missouri, Kimberly Ann Nobles-Stanek and her husband Thomas of Bolivar, Missouri, Nicole Dawn Logan of Prospect, Nova Scotia, Canada, five grandchildren, James Seth Nobles of Springdale, Arkansas, Tanner McMillen of Bolivar, Missouri, Jordan Stanek of Springfield, Missouri, Trenton Stanek of Bolivar, Missouri, Anna Lee Logan of Prospect, Nova Scotia, Canada, and one great granddaughter, Carlei Nobles ofSpringdale, Arkansas. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00pm, Sunday, March 21, 2010 at the United Methodist Church in Bolivar, Missouri with the Reverend Jake Lindsey and Reverend Dan Adkison officiating under the care and direction of the Butler Funeral Home of Bolivar, Missouri. Musical selection will be “Amazing Grace”, “How Great Thou Art” and two congregationa hymns “In The Garden” and “The Old Rugged Cross”. The United States Army, Missouri Military Honors Bravo Team of Springfield, Missouri, will provide flag folding andpresentation with the playing of Taps following the memorial service. Burial will take place at a future date in Greenwood Cemetery in Bolivar, Missouri.
