James Thomas Patton (Camdenton)'s Obituary
James Thomas Patton, son of James "Louie" Patton and Sarah Opel Campbell, was born January 23, 1940 in Dixon, Missouri. He departed this life, August 27, 2025, in Lake Regional Hospital, Osage Beach, Missouri at the age of eighty-five years, seven months and four days. On September 26, 1959 in Decaturville, Missouri, he was united in marriage to Frances Lee Patton by Rev. Buck Marler and to this union two children were born. Together they shared fifty-nine years of marriage. He was preceded in death by his wife, Frances Lee Patton; parents, James “Louie” Patton and Mildred Pauline Sharp, and biological mother Opel Campbell; siblings, Charles “Chuck” Patton, Jerry Patton, Donna Shoemaker and Marie Shelton; brother-in-law, Joe Appel and Dan Schults; and nephew, Chance Patton. He is survived by his children, Crystal and husband Michael Lloyd of Camdenton, Missouri, Jimmy Lee Patton of Camdenton, Missouri; two granddaughters, Stella LeAnne Lloyd and Adelynn Shae Lloyd of Camdenton, Missouri; grandson, Mitchell Lee Patton of Osage Beach, Missouri; five sisters, Mildred Rogers of Camdenton, Missouri, Mary Schults of Barnett, Missouri, Velma Patton of Linn Creek, Missouri, Diann Appel of Barnett, Missouri, Bretha Augustine of Midwest City, Oklahoma; brother-in-law, Ray Shoemaker of Eldon, Missouri. In his passing, James leaves behind many friends and other family members who will truly miss him. James was raised in Dixon, Missouri, where he graduated from Dixon High School in 1958. Following his high school graduation, James owned and operated Patton & Son Plumbing & Well Pump Service for thirty-six years; he was well known around the lake area for his excellent work. James made a profession of faith and was a member of Harvest Tabernacle in Lebanon, Missouri and later in life, Landmark Apostolic Church. In his spare time, he enjoyed attending auctions, swap meets & yard/garage sales; he was known at the Texas swap meet as “Missouri James.” He was a loving father, grandfather, brother and a caring neighbor & friend. We celebrate his life and his accomplishments and will treasure the memories he created for his family and friends. Memorial donations may be made to Landmark Apostolic Church and left at the funeral home. Arrangements are under the direction of Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Camdenton, Missouri.
